British Doulas You can have a doula for a home birth or a hospital birth. Our trained, certified and police-checked birth doula will visit you before the birth, helping you with your birth plan and answering questions. She will be with you for the whole of your actual birth and later she will visit you at home when you have had the baby. Having been through the experience herself, you can rely on her kindness, encouragement and support.
You could also have a postnatal doula.
